The School Grounds Biodiversity Action Plan

Bee The Brighton & Hove School Grounds Biodiversity Action Plan has been progressed ahead of the main City BAP as a pilot scheme. A BAP Partnership has been established involving school teachers, educationalists and nature conservationists to address issues peculiar to the school environment and a biodiversity audit of all the school grounds in Brighton & Hove has been carried out. The Broad Objectives of the School BAP are as follows:

  • To increase biodiversity in school grounds
  • To incorporate biodiversity conservation into school life
  • To improve biodiversity information for schools
  • To increase the resources available for school biodiversity
  • To monitor achievements
