Allotments
DescriptionAllotments are available for rent to everyone and most parts of Brighton & Hove have a site nearby. The council's allotment service manages over 2,300 allotment plots spread over 37 sites throughout the City. Local people use allotments to grow their own vegetables, fruit and flowers. Many are also used as quiet leisure areas and the council encourages allotment holders to dig ponds and create other features beneficial to wildlife. Most allotment sites are gated and only accessible to registered allotment holders. For further information on allotments contact: Quality of Life & Green Spaces or see the allotments section of the council's website. If your local Allotment is not included in CityWildlife, please let us know. You can e-mail the CityWildlife team at citywildlife@brighton-hove.gov.uk. |
